Your letters and items for articles can also be dropped in at the Village College Library. Just mark them for The Gazette.

An important note concerning flyers

There has recently been some confusion concerning the inclusion of Flyers within The Gazette. I would like to take this opportunity to clarify the position. As a voluntary organisation, we rely on volunteers not only to collate copy each month, but also to distribute the edition throughout the village.

Just to confuse matters, there are therefore two different deadlines for each edition of the Gazette. We hope to print all the monthly news in the edition, but occasionally, the FIRST MONDAY of the month deadline is missed by a contributer. This COPY deadline is fixed, I’m afraid as I (the editor) work on a tight babysitting time scale!

So, if it is absolutely essential, a flyer can be inserted into the appropriate edition, when it is delivered to Jacqui Hyde by the printers. Any flyer must be inserted into the copies by the author (or their volunteers), and the copies are then returned to Jacqui Hyde for counting. The distribution is then initialised by our new Distribution Coordinator, Mrs Jacky Raeburn. Once the 15th of the month is past it is too late to insert flyers into the Gazette for that month.

If you wish to contribute to the Gazette, please drop your item of interest in to the Village College library, or put the details through my letterbox at 29, School Close. Alternatively, please e-mail using: GamlingayGazette@tesco.net

Thank you -

Jackie Hough, Production Editor.
